If you have been waiting to buy real estate in Seal Beach for the prices to go down.  Here you go.  I have just reduced the price on this condo in Seal Beach to $450,000.  It is a two bedrooms, two bathrooms, over 1245 square feet, pet friendly, move in ready  with two parking spaces.  The payment  for principal is  less than what it would rent for.  It is open house  today from 12 to 4.   The address is 12300 Montecito #22 Seal Beach.front of buildingphoto 3

This year’s car show and motorcycle show is on April 30, 2016.  It is one of my favorite events in Seal Beach.  There are bands, raffle tickets, food and of course cars and motorcycles.  Hope to see you there.  This is a great show.

We are having a sidewalk sale in Seal Beach today. It’s a beautiful day at the beach. So come to Seal Beach and support our small town. Hope to see you soon.

We were supposed to have big waves today in Seal Beach, but as you can see they were not that big.  Maybe they will be here tomorrow or later today.  It was still a beautiful day here.

Have a nice day!

River Beach Townhomes in Seal Beach are located West of 1st street and North of Marina Drive. There are about 80 town homes built in the early 1980’s. They are two and three bedrooms and 2.5 baths between 1400-1750 square feet. These are the nicest and pretty much the only town homes in this area. They have a pretty low association fee and are within walking distance to the beach, some even have views of the Ocean or River.

Here is some information on Bridgeport located in Seal Beach CA.  There are approximately 175 homes with CC&R’s, but no association fees at this time.  It is East of 1st Street, N. of Marina Drive and West of PCH.  Lot size are generally 37.5 X 880.  Certain lots are zoned for one story homes and other two story homes with 25 foot height limits. They are considered Patio homes that share a courtyard wall and are zero lot lines.  The older homes were built in the late 1960’s.  They range in square feet from 1299 to 1720.  All have alley access and two car attached garages.  All have interior private patios.  There a few custom homes on Electric Avenue and Schooner Way that  were built in the late 1970’s.  They all have alley access with 2-3 garages.  They range in square feet from 1550 to 3400.  These lots are one and two story specific lots.  Bridgeport is built on landfill.  Schooner Park is located in Bridgeport.

I took this picture from the Second Street bridge going into Naples.  What a wonderful night for a walk, nice and warm.

Have a nice day!

I have been doing some research about the pier in Seal Beach.  The First Pier was built-in 1906 and was 6 feet wide and 1865 feet in length and was the longest pier south of San Francisco.

In 1915 no one was allowed at the end of the pier because there was a high voltage light show at the end of the pier.

In 1935 a storm broke the pier in half and they had to use Bosun’s chair by the Coast Guard to get the people off the end.  Because of the great depression the pier wasn’t repaired until 1939.

In 1983 120 ft of the Pier was destroyed by a storm and the residents of Seal Beach raised $130,000 to repair the pier.  The is when Slick the Seal took up residence after the pier was repaired.

In 1992 a short in the electrical wiring under the pier resulted in severe fire damage.  Because of potential fire danger the city council prohibited smoking on the pier.

I found this old picture of what the pier looked like in the 1920’s.  It is a lot different now.  One of my favorite things to do in Seal Beach is to take a walk on the pier and watch the sunset. old pictures of Seal Beach4 big
