I had to run to Bank of America around the noon hour.  Approaching the bank, I could see that there was a strong police presence at Main Street and Central.  I wondered what had happened.  A crime?  Traffic accident? Fire?

It turned out that none of these horrible things had taken place.  It was simply the police getting set for the holiday’s festivities.  I looked across the street to Hennesey’s and could see a growing crowd all decked out in green.

I learned that O’Malleys got their first customer shortly after they opened at 7am and was packed by noon time.

I hope everyone behaves safely today.  But it’s good to see the police command center in the middle of town to ensure a safe and sane holiday.  They are expecting approximately 5,000 revelers.
