We had an earthquake the other day that the USGS reported at 4.7 centered in Lomita.  It created quite a lot of shaking here in Seal Beach, but very little damage locally.

There was one photo in the Los Angeles Time of workers sweeping up debris in a Starbucks in Hawthorne (near the epicenter).

Today, shortly before 4pm there was an aftershock measured to be 4.1.  There was a short jolt here in the area but nothing like the other day.

There was an earthquake Thursday evening shortly before 8:00pm in the San Bernardino area.  The radio said it measured between 4.5 and 5.0 (I heard a couple of different figures).  It was felt in a widespread area – including our Seal Beach area.

Hope everyone’s well.
