The Bay Theatre is Seal Beach’s home for the classic film.  They use real 35mm archival film prints direct from the studios.

Recently showing at the Bay was Dr Strangelove.

April 26 – 29 is the showing of Irving Berlin’s Top Hat starring Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers.  Visit the Bay’s website at for show times.

Top Hat (1935) is one of the great 30s dance musicals.  It is reportedly the best, most characteristic, and most profitable Astaire and Rogers musical ever.  It features wonderful, magical dance and song numbers (with straight-on, full-length views of the dancers without a lot of camera cuts or unusual camera angles). Its tagline was: “They’re Dancing Cheek-to-Cheek Again.”

The Bay is located at 340 Main Street – just a short distance from our real estate offices.  Stop by if you get a chance to see what’s hot (real estate) in Seal Beach.

I noticed that Blade Runner, a 1982 movie about the year 2019, is playing at the Bay Theatre.  The version playing here is not the same as the original version – it has some additional footage and improving the original director’s cut.
