According to DataQuick (www.dqnews.com) home sales in Southern California increased in March.   The median price paid for a home was unchanged from January and February, indicating that the market may be exploring price floor levels.

19,486 new and resale homes sold in Los Angeles, Riverside, San Diego, Ventura, San Bernardino and Orange counties last month, an increase of 27.9 percent from February, and up 52.1 percent from March 2008.

A February to March increase is normal for the season. Last month was the ninth in a row with a year-over-year sales increase.
