According to www.dqnews.com, December sales in the Southland were up almost 20% from October and up more than 50% from one year ago.  As you might conclude, the increase was primarily of low cost foreclosure sales. 

In Seal Beach (zip code 90740), the median sales price was $875K, up over 32%.  The average price per square foot was $362.

The adjoining area is Belmont Shore (zip code 90803).  The median sales price $750K, down almost 13%.  The average per square foot was $515.
